Troubleshooting pirated Windows / MS Office
Many people are using Pirated Versions of Windows and MS Office and sometimes this will not allow the product to activate when tried with an activation key.
Please follow the below steps if you are unable to activate your product with the key.
If you get an error like this while activating, it means few changes were made to the services.
Go to Windows search and search for services.
Open services and check if all the following services are running:
“Background Intelligent Transfer Service“
“Windows License Manager Service“
“Windows Update“
If not, right-click on the service and select Properties
Change the startup type to Automatic and click on Start. At Last, Click Apply and OK.
Repeat the same process for Background Intelligent Transfer Service and Windows Update
Now try to activate the Windows, if you get the same error again, restart your PC and stop and start the same services and try again with the key.
If the above troubleshooting steps don’t work, you may need to reinstall the Operating System.
